Venison Chili Mac

Ingredients
1 medium onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 lb Broken Arrow Ranch Ground Venison
1 (14.5 oz) can tomatoes, diced
1 (15 oz) can beans - kidney or pinto
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp cumin
Salt and ground black pepper, to taste
4 cups chicken broth
8 oz pasta - shells or elbow macaroni
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Hot sauce

In a large pot heat oil over medium high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, about 2 minutes. Add garlic and ground venison. Cook until venison is browned, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes, beans, and spices. Salt the dish a little heavier than normal (if using low sodium chicken broth) because the pasta will absorb some. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir in pasta, reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook until al dente according to pasta directions, typically 10-12 minutes.

Top venison chili mac with cheese and hot sauce, if desired.
